Los Angeles, of course, is the one and only capital city of the film. So we are thrilled that Chasing the Sun will be screening at the Los Angeles Cinefest Film Festival! It is an honour that our short film will be screened in this, for film makers, sacred place.
For its first, public screening, Sunny Juliette does not stay far from home. The film has been selected for the Hague Film Festival! The festival shines thanks to the many productions from The Hague. By makers who are rooted in The Hague or makers who have made a film with the city as a main character.
Flowers, champagne and lots of happy faces. Sunny Juliette premiered tonight. The Filmhuis Den Haag filled up with a large crowd. Makers, family of makers and friends saw how Juliette tried to solve a decades old murder mystery.
Chasing the Sun will be shown at various film festivals in The Netherlands and abroad. Keep an eye on our channels to find out when Chasing the Sun will be screened in your area.
It was a very special experience. After much love and suffering, Sunny Juliette has reached its picture lock.
As always, it is not always possible to get everything on film the first time. During the editing of Sunny Juliette, we also came across scenes that we would have preferred to shoot differently.
For a film set in the 1970s, it is of course necessary to find appropriate props from that era. And that was a joy! The production team scoured various thrift shops looking for magazines, newspapers, radios and typewriters. But perhaps the most special props are the three vehicles that played a role in Sunny Juliette.
We have seen many beautiful locations during our films. But what we encountered in Groningen was truly breathtaking. At first sight, it looks like a big reed field with water surrounding it. But suddenly a large wooden building appears. Out of nowhere. In Groningen, this birdhouse is known as the Kiekkaaste.
After years of writing, rewriting, planning and even more writing, the time has finally come! Team Sunny Juliette has started the recordings for a new, exciting thriller that partly takes place in Luxembourg.
